A YC Community is formed by a group of people in a particular city who recognize the unique needs of families living outside the parents’ home country and want to do something to help. Each community offers caring adult role models, fun activities and service opportunities for expatriate youth during their stay in that community. Adults screened by the board serve as staff, volunteers and local board members. Our staff and volunteers navigate life with students - loving them unconditionally, and modeling respect and trust.

YouthCompass also keeps in touch with our families after they move to offer opportunities to connect with other international teens / Third Culture Kids or participate in regional events in the next location. This on-going involvement helps provide continuity throughout the transition and is part of the reason that YouthCompass is dedicated to growing until every international community around the world has a YC Community or partner organization that is supporting international teens and their families. If you are interested in starting a YC Community in your city, please contact us: info@youthcompass.org.
